Hi, I'm Lisa! Owner and operator of Paws Up Pet Nanny, LLC!
I’ve called Durham home for over 10 years. Since 2018, I’ve been caring for pets locally with my pet sitting and dog walking business, Paws Up Pet Nanny. Animals have always been my greatest passion. I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs, and I was the kid who would stop everything to help an injured squirrel, bird, or mouse. That same compassion is what drives my business today. Whether it’s a mid-day walk, overnight care, or just extra cuddles, I strive to give each pet the attention and love they deserve.
Paws Up Pet Nanny is rooted in professionalism, kindness, and a genuine understanding of animal behavior. I take pride in building strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their humans, and nothing makes me happier than knowing the animals in my care feel safe, happy, and loved.

The Team
At Paws Up Pet Nanny, our team of pet sitters and dog walkers is made up of experienced, reliable, and animal-loving employees, not independent contractors. Each team member is carefully hand-selected by the owner Lisa, is required to pass a background check and is fully covered under our company’s bonding and insurance, so you can feel confident that both your pets and your home are in safe, trustworthy hands.
You’ll be matched with a primary sitter from our team who will get to know your pets’ routines and preferences. And because we work together as a close-knit team, if your primary sitter is ever unavailable, another team member will step in to ensure consistent, high-quality care - no missed visits, no worries.

Time to Pet © Pet Sitting App
To provide you with additional comfort and security, Paws Up Pet Nanny uses a state-of-the-art scheduling software called Time to Pet. With the app, you are able to quickly request new services, check your scheduled visits, update your pet information, view and send messages to our team, and make payments. Plus, our team uses the app to check in and out of the job in real-time, and it marks their GPS location at the beginning and end of their time in your home. They will also send you an update and photos at the end of each visit, so you are well informed how everything is going with your pet.
